Description
The sculpture depicts infant Buddha’s first bath by Indra. Infant Buddha is depicted standing on a high stool supported by three decorative legs. His right hand is in abhaymudra. Indra is shown pouring water on Buddha’s head. He is wearing a dhoti and shawl. His curly hair is depicted in typical Gandharan style. Small tenon at top indicates that this sculpture must have been a part of larger sculpture
