Training Course In Conservation Of Natural History Collections with a focus on taxidermy specimens

This four-month intensive practical training course (comprising 3-months training at CSMVS, followed by a 1-month internship at an approved natural history preservation lab) is designed to be an intensive, hands-on training course that will equip the graduating participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to identify and understand the deterioration of taxidermy collections and implement conservation and restoration of such natural history collections following scientific methods with the best available techniques, materials and work principles.

The training course is limited to 5 participants, please apply on time
Online interviews of the shortlisted participants will be held by a selection panel. The selected candidates will be informed by email.
Days: Monday to Saturday (except on museum holidays)
Fees: There is no fee for this training course. The Course is supported by Tata Trusts.
Travel and Accommodation: Participants are requested to kindly make their own travel, boarding and lodging arrangements. A modest merit-cum-means monthly stipend may be offered to selected participants.
