Abraham Lincoln
Description
Daniel Huntington was known for the simplicity of his style and his ability to accurately capture the likeness of his subjects. This portrait of Abraham Lincoln was painted in 1865, the year the president died. The portrait was probably painted posthumously by the artist. It was then purchased in the same year and reached India. The signature of the artist can be seen at the right bottom corner of the painting.
