Description
This painting, smallest of the collection, depicts two prominent exponents of contrasting philosophical doctrines: on the left, Adi Shankaracharya (8th century), the founder of Advaita Vedanta (non - duality of ultimate reality), and on the right, Raghavendraswamy (c. 1595–1671), a prominent exponent of the Dvaita Vedanta (separate identities of brahman and atman).
