Description

Livre d' Heuris or the Book of Hours is a collection of prayers for private devotion for lay members of the Christian Church. Very common in the late Middle Ages and in the 16th century CE, these books accompanied believers in their daily lives and were “bestsellers” of their time. The name comes from the prayers within these books that were recited just as the monks; in the eight canonical hours according to the rule established by the Church.
