Guru preaching pupils
Description
This is an interesting metal image depicting a gurukul scene. A guru (teacher) is seated under a tree preaching to eight shisyas (pupils) who are standing before him with folded hands.
The artist has carefully modeled the hair and beard of the guru.The pupils are depicted as batus or young students having tufts of hair on head. All of them are wearing short dhotis.
