Lajjagauri
Description
Surface find from Elephanta island.
Stone plaque with high relief showing two armed nude Lajjagauri seated in legs spread in frog like fashion. She wears earrings, bracelets, anklets, and a headgear with projections on the sides. The raised hands hold some indistinct objects. Breasts and a portion of belly are slightly damaged.
