Description

Mayuri Veena or Taus (the Persian word for Peacock) is a string instrument and is played with a bow, it has moveable frets like sitar and it can be easily identified by its peacock-shaped body. It is believed that this instrument was conceived by the 6th Sikh Guru – Guru Hargobind Ji.
