Pair of Cymbals
Description
Cymbals are an essential feature of temple repertoire and are used in rituals to create a vibrating impulse. The three emblems on these Cymbals are:
i) Whirling emblem – symbolises the ceaseless change
ii) Shou – originally Chinese symbol of longevity and an emblem of good fortune
iii) Stylised dragons - symbol of eternal conflict between the opposing forces.
