Sampurna Ramayana
Description
The central tableau of the painting depicts Ramapattabhisheka – Rama’s coronation. There are 68 vignettes, each with a caption, around the central tableau narrating the story of Ramayana. Similar to the Kalamkari temple hangings of Andhra Pradesh, the narrative commences at the left bottom corner, and proceeds clockwise.
इस कलाचित्र के केंद्र में राम पट्टाभिषेक का चित्रण है। इसके आसपास ६८ छोटी-छोटी छवियां हैं और हर एक के नीचे उनका परिचय है। चित्र का वर्णन नीचे बाईं तरफ से शुरू होकर घड़ी की सुइयों की दिशा में आगे बढ़ता है। यह व्यवस्था आंध्र प्रदेश के बहुत-से मंदिरों में दिखाई देने वाले कलमकारी चित्रण के समान है।
