Shela
Description
This shela has an elaborate golden pallu with creeper design in minakari on both ends.It has bold jai phul jari buttis all over the ground.The broad border in a narali patterns.
No Maharashtrian wedding trousseau is complete without the paithani sari and shela (stole),the best the family can afford.These then become treasured heirlooms,preserved and worn by generations, fragrent with memories. Generally shela is passed from mother-in -law to daughter-in- law as a symbol of transferring the responsibility of a household.
